Brooke’s holistic approach

Booke’s holistic approach

Brooke (29 years old) was drawn to the holistic clinic at Ardor after feeling stagnant in her health. She had relied on the modality of chiropractic since she was 6 years old to get through back and neck aches, pains and flare-ups. In recent years she commenced strength training to support her body, but she was in a state of stress (working full time and studying). She was experiencing sleep disturbance and her pain flare-ups, plus headaches and migraines were happening more regularly.

Brooke booked an appointment with Tarren (Remedial Massage Therapist) for massage with the aim of helping her get back into her body, release some pent up tension and reduce the regularity of her headaches and migraines. She also booked an appointment with Tahlia (Integrative Nutritionist) to focus on improving her energy levels, addressing her skin health and healing her gut. Tahlia and Brooke worked together to increase both her macro and micronutrient intake with a specific focus on zinc rich foods for her skin health, along with following a wholefood based diet to reduce overall inflammation and optimise nutrient absorption. Included in Brooke’s supplement prescription was daily high dose zinc and a magnesium formulation to assist with sleep onset and quality along with energy and vitality across the day.

Brooke has also deepened her approach to holistic wellbeing by attending regular classes at Ardor. Embracing a well balanced movement approach with the incorporation of restorative yoga, strength and sculpt classes on a weekly basis.

“Within just a short couple of months, I have never felt so supported on this journey by the wonderful practitioners and teachers at Ardor to release stress and to improve my relationship with food and my body. My times at Ardor are my “me-time” whether it’s a remedial massage with Tarren, a class or appointment with Tahlia, and I always leave feeling energised and refreshed. Thanks ladies!” ~ Brooke

The combined holistic approach of manual therapy, nutritional therapy and movement has enabled Brooke to experience less pain, more energy and overall greater quality of life. She has formed rituals that balance both her mind and body on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
