A guide to Facial Cupping

A guide to Facial Cupping

Facial Cupping has so many benefits and it’s actually quite easy to do. All you need is a cupping set, which you can buy from me here and a facial oil which I sell here.

  • Improves circulation

  • Promotes lymphatic drainage

  • Reduces inflammation

  • Sculpts your face, enhancing it’s natural features and beauty

Step by step directions below and have a peek at my demonstration on Instagram, here.

1. Cleanse your face and apply your fav facial oil or serum.

2. Activate the lymph nodes above and below your collarbones with gentle presses. I do this about 5 times, but if you’re new to lymph work or congested 8-10 times is likely required.

3. Activate the nodes around your jaw and ears (gently as above) and then bring the fluid from these areas down your neck and to your collarbone nodes.

4. I add a little extra oil to the cup directly. Apply the suction cup to your face and squeeze gently to create suction. Start at the center of your face and move outwards, horizontally. Don’t linger in one spot for too long (otherwise it will leave a mark).

5. Focus on areas where you hold tension or fluid, like the jawline, forehead, in between brows or cheekbones. Bring the fluid towards your collarbone nodes (once you’ve brought it to the outer edges of your face). Make sure you’re not cupping over any cuts, bruises, or inflamed areas.

8. Finish by reactivating your lymph nodes by your collarbones. Repeat the sequence whenever you need. I do a short version of this most days, but longer when I’m going out. You might like to rinse your face or continue with your normal skin care and make up routine.

9. Clean your cups in hot soapy water and allow to air dry.

Note: facial cupping may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with active acne, rosacea, or sensitive skin. If you’re unsure, it’s always best to check with your dermatologist or skin specialist.
